What are we doing?

Conducting a city-wide building energy inventory.
In planning: Development of a citywide building inventory assessing the residential and commercial building stock in the city, energy source and available energy data to inform future BCAP projects.

Coordinating with ODOE to support building owners in meeting Building Energy Performance Standards (HB 3409).

Ongoing collaboration with CBOs/partners to expand access to weatherization and energy efficiency programs by supporting outreach efforts, connecting community members to financial assistance, and identifying opportunities to reduce participation barriers.
April 2026: Community Energy Project launched a new Heat Pump Water Heater Program in Beaverton to provide heat pump water heaters (and other home energy upgrades) to qualifying low-income, Beaverton homeowners at no cost.
The city is actively collaborating with other partners, like Energy Trust of Oregon, to connect more Beaverton community members with existing incentives, rebates, and educational resources for making weatherization and energy efficiency improvements to homes, businesses, multi-family properties, etc.

Residential Heat Pump Incentive Program
Expanded access to clean, efficient home heating and cooling for 22 Beaverton families through the city’s heat pump incentive program, which distributed $200,000 in incentives in 2025 for high-efficiency heat pumps and energy-saving upgrades. This incentive program was funded by the State of Oregon's Community Heat Pump Deployment Program.
